Letter to President Biden and Vice President Harris

OPEN LETTER FROM AMERICAN MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS WHO SERVED IN GAZA

Excerpts:

We are 99 American physicians, surgeons, nurse practitioners, nurses, and midwives who have volunteered in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. Combined, we spent 254 weeks volunteering in Gaza’s hospitals and clinics. …

We are among the only neutral observers who have been permitted to enter the Gaza Strip since October 7. Given our broad expertise and direct experience of working throughout Gaza we are uniquely positioned to comment on several matters of importance to our government as it decides whether to continue supporting Israel’s attack on, and siege of, the Gaza Strip. Specifically, we believe we are well positioned to comment on the massive human toll from Israel’s attack on Gaza, especially the toll it has taken on women and children. …

This letter and the appendix show probative evidence that the human toll in Gaza since October is far higher than is understood in the United States. It is likely that the death toll from this conflict is already greater than 118,908, an astonishing 5.4% of Gaza’s population.

Our government must act immediately to prevent an even worse catastrophe than what has already befallen the people of Gaza and Israel. A ceasefire must be imposed on the warring parties by withholding military support for Israel and supporting an international arms embargo on Israel and all Palestinian armed groups. We believe our government is obligated to do this, both under American law and International Humanitarian Law. We also believe it is the right thing to do. …

With only marginal exceptions, everyone in Gaza is sick, injured, or both. This includes every national aid worker, every international volunteer, and probably every Israeli hostage: every man, woman, and child. While working in Gaza we saw widespread malnutrition in our patients and our Palestinian healthcare colleagues. Every one of us lost weight rapidly in Gaza despite having privileged access to food and having taken our own supplementary nutrient-dense food with us. We have photographic evidence of life-threatening malnutrition in our patients, especially children, that we are eager to share with you. …

Children are universally considered innocents in armed conflict. However, every single signatory to this letter saw children in Gaza who suffered violence that must have been deliberately directed at them. Specifically, every one of us who worked in an emergency, intensive care, or surgical setting treated pre-teen children who were shot in the head or chest on a regular or even a daily basis. It is impossible that such widespread shooting of young children throughout Gaza, sustained over the course of an entire year is accidental or unknown to the highest Israeli civilian and military authorities. …

These observations and the publicly available material detailed in the appendix lead us to believe that the death toll from this conflict is many times higher than what is reported by the Gaza Ministry of Health. We also believe this is probative evidence of widespread violations of American laws governing the use of American weapons abroad, and of International Humanitarian Law. We cannot forget scenes of unbearable cruelty directed at women and children that our government is a direct participant in. …

The 99 signatories to this letter spent a combined 254 weeks inside Gaza’s largest hospitals and clinics. We wish to be absolutely clear: not once did any of us see any type of Palestinian militant activity in any of Gaza’s hospitals or other healthcare facilities.

We urge you to see that Israel has systematically and deliberately devastated Gaza’s entire healthcare system, and that Israel has targeted our colleagues in Gaza for torture, disappearance, and murder. …

President Biden and Vice President Harris, any solution to this problem must begin with an immediate and permanent ceasefire. We appreciate that you are working on a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, but you have overlooked an obvious fact: the United States can impose a ceasefire on the warring parties by simply stopping arms shipments to Israel, and announcing that we will participate in an international arms embargo on both Israel and all Palestinian armed groups. We stress what many others have repeatedly told you over the past year: American law is perfectly clear on this matter, continuing to arm Israel is illegal.

President Biden and Vice President Harris, we urge you to immediately withhold military, economic, and diplomatic support from the State of Israel and to participate in an international arms embargo of Israel and all Palestinian armed groups until a permanent ceasefire is established in Gaza, including the release of all Israeli and Palestinian hostages, and until a permanent resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is negotiated between the two parties. Vice President Harris, as the likely next president of the United States, we urge you to publicly announce your support for such a policy, and to state publicly that you are duty-bound to uphold the laws of the United States even when doing so is politically inconvenient.

On January 20, 2024, Russian-state news service TASS reported:

“‘The Israeli army has destroyed over 70% of houses and building in the Gaza Strip. Almost 2 million of Palestinians have become displaced, half of them being children. During over 100 days, Israeli troops killed about 10,000 children. Additional 10,000 people —mainly women and children are buried under the debris,’ the minister said, according to WAFA.

‘There is a horrifying situation in the Gaza Strip because of the genocidal war, initiated by Israel, the campaign of mass murder, systematic extermination of the Palestinian people in the enclave,’ the Foreign Minister underscored.”

The bombings and starvation in Gaza have continued to increase the death count as the United States supplies Israel with the means to conduct ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

Gaza 2035 is a joint Israel/Saudi Arabian project to rebuild Gaza after the destruction of Gaza is complete. Elon Musk, Israel’s partner on artificial intelligence, is slated to build electric car factories in Gaza.

Preliminary negotiations between the US State Department, Israel, and Saudi Arabia to set the stage for Gaza 2035 appear to have begun long before October 7, 2023.

Netanyahu flew to Saudi Arabia for secret talks: minister

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited Saudi Arabia on Sunday for talks with senior officials, a government minister has confirmed.

Education Minister Yoav Gallant called the visit "an amazing achievement" after Israeli media reported that Netanyahu had met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Neom, where the crown prince was meeting with Pompeo.

"The very fact the meeting happened, and was outed publicly, even if half-officially right now, is a matter of great importance," Gallant, a member of the prime minister's Cabinet, said in an interview with Israeli army radio on Monday.

The US State Department under President Biden has been under increasing fire for supporting Genocide in Gaza.

Propublica published a lengthy article that outlined how Secretary of State Antony Blinkin falsified his testimony to Congress on May 10, 2024.

Israel Deliberately Blocked Humanitarian Aid to Gaza, Two Government Bodies Concluded. Antony Blinken Rejected Them.

At issue was a Section in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 which prohibited the sale of arms to any country that restricts the transport or delivery of United States humanitarian assistance.

Prior to Blinkin’s May 2024 testimony to Congress, Blinkin was informed by USAID in April 2024 that Israel was blocking US humanitarian aid to Gaza. By law the US should have withheld arms shipments to Israel.

Blinkin’s false testimony to Congress was a criminal act under 18 U.S. Code § 1001.

Mentally incompetent President Biden has been extremely upset with Netanyahu’s actions, according to several news reports based on a book by Bob Woodward. From the New York Post:

“That son of a bitch, Bibi Netanyahu, he’s a bad guy. He’s a bad f–king guy!” Biden told an aide, according to CNN in a preview Tuesday of Bob Woodward’s upcoming book “War.” …

Biden reportedly called Netanyahu a “f–king liar” in private after Israel expanded its military operations to include Rafah in southern Gaza this past spring.

He also furiously erupted, “Bibi, what the f–k?” after an Israeli airstrike killed civilians during an attack on Hezbollah in Beirut. It wasn’t clear whether that was to the PM’s face or to an associate.

“You know the perception of Israel around the world increasingly is that you’re a rogue state, a rogue actor,” Biden told Netanyahu about the airstrike, according to Woodward.

The State Department appears to be running US policy regarding Israel over the objections of a mentally incompetent President. On October 1, 2024, State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller described Israeli war criminals (according to the International Criminal Court) as the “counterparts” of the US State Department.

State Department spokesman accused of ‘smirking’ while discussing Gaza deaths

July 9, 2024.

Matthew Miller was accused of "smirking" while discussing the number of civilian deaths recorded in Gaza since Israel's latest conflict with Hamas began.

During a state department briefing (9 July), Mr Miller was asked if the true death figures could be larger than that recorded by Gaza's health ministry.

A voice, understood to be journalist Sam Husseini, accused Mr Miller of sporting an inappropriate facial expression during his answer.

When accused, Mr Miller gestured for the next question, before stating that he wouldn't "entertain" the accusation.

Yesterday, October 8, 2024, Matthew Miller, a.k.a “Count Smirkula,” was strongly questioned by journalist Liam Cosgrove about the US State Department abetting Genocide in Gaza. Miller refused to respond.

Liam Cosgrove: “It is a genocide. You are abetting it. And you are risking nuclear war in Ukraine.”

Matthew Miller: “(There are) plenty of other places where you can give a speech.”
