On September 11, 2001, CNN overlaid United Airlines Flight 17 crashing into WTC’s South Tower as the windows were blown out by explosives at 8:03 AM Central Time.
That video is not in this reference article.
The section of video below is from CNN’s live feed at 7:54 Central Time where CNN staged a little drama within the big drama. CNN had a “split screen” of two live feeds at 7:54 AM. CNN claimed that they had lost the feed to one of their live feeds, because their transmitter was on top of the World Trade Center. It took the announcer 10 seconds to note that CNN’s transmitter was on top of the World Trade Center from the time one of their screens went black and they faked losing their feed.
They made a very brief static noise, and overlaid fake “static” onto their black screen for dramatic effect.
Their fake static bled over from the screen with the supposed dead feed to the other live screen, which is nonsense.
Here’s how it breaks down (images). There are some more images you could capture if you are fast enough.
First image, two seperate live feeds.
One live, one black (no static).
One live, one gray (no static).
One live, one gray and white horiztal bars (no static).
One live, one black again (no static).
One live, one black, with “Horizotal black Static” bleeding from black screen into the live feed, and horizontal white static on the black screen. The horizonal bars go up and down. This continues for 4-5 seconds.
Then buildings are added to the second screen, but the overlaid staitic remains briefly.
Static fades on the second screen.
They move to one screen, no static.
