Question for US Department of Justice: How many American Citizens did Israel Kill on October 7, 2023?
If I had a press pass...
As I’m sure you’re aware, former Israeli Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant, told Israel’s Channel 12 on February 06, 2025 that the Israeli military fired on Israeli citizens on October 7, 2023 under the so-called “Hannibal Directive,” a policy in which Israel kills their citizens before allowing them to be taken hostage.
Image above: Taking a selfie at the Tekuma “car cemetery.” Israel says that more than 1,000 vehicles were destroyed — often with Israeli captives inside — on and soon after 7 October 2023.
In a press release dated September 3, 2024, the Office of Public Affairs of the Department of Justice attributed the following statement to Attorney General Merrick Garland:
“On October 7th, Hamas terrorists, led by these defendants, murdered nearly 1200 people, including over 40 Americans, and kidnapped hundreds of civilians.”
The DOJ’s Indictment of senior leaders of Hamas, also unsealed on September 3, 2024, stated:
“As of the date of this Complaint, at least 43 American citizens were among those murdered, and at least ten American citizens were taken hostage or remain unaccounted for.”
In light of Yoav Gallant’s comments that Israel fired on vehicles containing hostages, and the very obvious fact that it did as has been reported worldwide, don’t you think you should accurately identify how many Americans and Israelis were killed by Hamas on October 7, 2023, and how many were actually killed by Israel?
And what information do you have on the “at least ten American citizens were taken hostage or remain unaccounted for?”
Thank you,
