Psychology of Totalitarianism, Pages 5-6
Expert virologists were called upon as George Orwell’s pigs— the smartest animals on the farm— to replace the unreliable politicians. They would run the animal farm with accurate (“scientific”) information in time of plague. But these experts soon turned out to have quite a few common, human flaws. In their statistics and graphs, they made mistakes that even “ordinary” people would not easily make. It went so far that, at one point, they counted all deaths as coronavirus deaths, including people who had died of, say, heart attacks.
Deaths from hospital homicides and vaccines were counted as “unvaccinated with COVID.” Malone took the falsely described data and advocated to vax the elderly.

How is it possible that these experts made mistakes that even laymen wouldn’t make? Aren’t they scientists, the kind of people who took us to the moon* and gave us the internet? They can’t be that stupid, can they? What is the endgame?
Below is a typical disinformation video from the CDC saying you are 14 times more likely to die from “COVID” if you are unvaccinated.
Is Desmet too stupid to understand what’s going on? No. He wrote a book about the Pigs.
But in his view, the Pigs, the leaders, whe are shouting statistics than any grade-schooler would know are based on lies- the vaccinated are “unvaccinated” for two weeks- were all under some sort of mass psychosis spell.
Harldy the message of Orwell.

The fact that this should be understood in terms of mass psychology rather than malicious, intentional deception (i.e., a conspiracy; see chapter 8) doesn’t make it any less dangerous.
You are one of Orwell’s Pigs, Desmet, but you are under no spell.
*also fake.

My advice is to read the original work upon which Desmet likely based his work. It’s a fascinating study: "Memoirs of Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds" by Charles Mackey ….. the classic crowd psychology theory first published in 1841 in England.
Desmet gets so much attention this time. It's not easy to resist, for a narcissist, to become one of the leading experts in the next plndmc, maybe for the nudging section.
