Why is Former President Trump now Blaming Iran instead of the Secret Service for Assassination Attempts?
Anyway you want to look at the assassination attempt against former President Trump on July 14, 2024, there’s no way to overlook that the Secret Service intentionally allowed a gunman to get very close to the former President without even bothering to tell him to step away from the podium.
It’s certainly not the first time in U.S. history that the Secret Service has played an active and complicit role in an assassination attempt against a U.S. President. In the assassination of JFK in 1963, the Secret Service called away agents who were jogging alongside the convertible that JFK was riding in before shots were fired. A Secret Service agent later took a pocket knife and cut a piece of tissue away from the head of JFK to conceal the bullet wound from the “second gunman on the grassy knoll,” Frank Sturgis. The Secret Service lost the President’s brain, so no analysis could be done on the gunshot wounds.
