The House Energy and Commerce Committee has made a press release stating that Lili Ren, a virologist at the Institute of Pathogen Biology of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in Beijing, uploaded “nearly identical” coronavirus sequence to GenBank on December 28, 2019.
