"Whatever happened to the Rule of Law that applies to everyone?"

Many administrators signed into law what previous congresses made to protect big pharma and they even neutered themselves and the courts from holding big pharma accountable. This didn’t just start when Reagan gave big pharma immunity from lawsuits, but it’s been going on for 124 years.

Just like government can’t modify the 1st amendment, but has, government shouldn’t take the rule of law out of the people’s hands, but they have. It’s why courts keep dismissing all the cases before them.

This defense is great. There’s alot of expert burglars/rapists etc that would invoke it.

I'm trying to imagine circumstances that would lead me to once again trust doctors.

I got nothin.

They put a lot of effort into that strategy. But the Plaintiffs will hopefully move to compel further testimony and have the judge overrule the objections. They can't be experts and defendants in the same case. I hope.

There's a Game Theory called "the Prisoner's Dilemma." As long as crooks don't from testify against each other, it's their best strategy. But once one of them breaks, they're fucked. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prisoner's_dilemma

Yes. You can bet they've put a lot into locking that strategy down.

It's probably why Wisconsin put it in place.

I remember reading that there were at least of couple of staff there who saw what happened and did not agree with it. Maybe they will testify truthfully.

People get threatened and fear for their lives to speak up. I’ve heard stories in the past about suing hospitals and threats. One guy I knew was suing a hospital years ago for his father and was ran off the road etc.
