Rebecca Charles had to file a wrongful death lawsuit on her own, because she couldn’t find a lawyer to take the case, but she did it. Now if that isn’t someone you can get behind, who is? No lawyer would take the case for my late father. Statue of limitations in Michigan is 2 years. Last August was two years. I commend these parents for knowing how to fight. I didn’t know how to do it myself in the headspace that I was in dealing with grief. May God bless them and guide them.
It is very disturbing that no lawyer would take this case. That says nothing about the case, which is very straightforward and demonstrates obvious liability exposure. What it says is that law firms and lawyers are too afraid to take a case like this on, and know how expensive the defense will make it for them, not to mention the political pressure and threats--not worth the time at the end of the day. So sad for this family.
