Actually the designation SV40 was the numerical designation of the number of polymyoma viruses that were detected. They stopped counting at 40 but there were many many more. I got that info from a chemist who worked at Ft. Detrick during that time.

And the fact that regulatory agencies such as the FDA are devoted to approving poisons and prohibiting the use of true medicine and herbs. Baxas discussed carcinogens in the referenced article as well. Why for instance would the FDA approve FD&C Yellow #6 just to dye food yellow when it is a known carcinogen? There is zero nutritional value and it is a known carcinogen. Therefore, they approve it, because that's what they do.
